It must have been impossible for virtually every non-Man City team to leave FA Cup this year to witness Newcastle winning the Carabaoand not to begin to idly dream about the very, very real chance of something similar heading their way in this competition. Because none of the remaining FA Cup team are Newcastle, with the best, most wonderful, and deserving enthusiasts in the world,Obviously it wouldn’t be as special and wonderful as that was. However, it would still be very neat for any of the overachieving clubs, whose chances of winning any significant trophy are also unavoidable in English football’s sporadic air.
Anyone else’s novel or interesting is essentially novel and interesting. And we’d like to believe City fans will accept that as true to their word despite the fact that it hasn’t been very much since they have spent a lot of time inside the Forest/Brighton/Bournemouth/Villa/Fulham/Palace/Preston boat themselves.
